Social Media was the main focus in my Style and Design class. I was exposed to many different social media networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Utterli, PR Open Mic, The Loveliest Village, WarEagle.me and PR Blogs. Through my vast exposure to different networking sites, I now recognize the importance of social media in the public relations field.
Each week, I conducted video interviews and wrote stories about events and issues in the community. Through my experience in social media, I was able to gain knowledge of video capturing, editing and posting. I also had experience in writing blogs and feature stories. I then uploaded all of my videos and stories to various Word Press and Ning sites.
